The corvette was my first love, sailing at over 20 knot during tempest is insane. So, maybe something on the middle road, not weak as a caravel for instance, but not costly as a man-o-war? maybe a simple galleon? i'm not sure, i only use tier 1 ship and some other for fun (corvette,war galleon, carrack) so most ship for me seem to be the same. A big ship is probaly a safe bet but if i'm already struggling to maintain a single first rate to full efficiency, maintaining 3 other big ship would seem impossible to me. Since i already have a war galleon, i'm looking at something with more firepower but not sure, a frigate? a man-o-war? second rate even?Īfter i got things figured for my main heavy ship, i wish to dabble in the art of travelling with a fleet but i'm not sure which kind of ship i can trust the ai with. Which ship can fill me with the feel of being an invulnerable floating castle but at the same time be more ''speedy''. Maybe i got used a little too much to speed when using my cutter and corvette. Its fun to be able to stand still against a whole fleet and shoot them down, boarding is easy when i have hundred of peoples to spare but repair and refilling the rank can be costly and the ship's speed and turning is horrible. I recently found the blueprint to build first rate ship and build one as soon a i had enough money to (12k gold is a lot for me) and some more to pay a crew of 600+ and i'm mixed on it.
