Within 5 minutes of checking into our room, room service showed up with clean stainless steel food and water bowls for the dog and cat, a complimentary 6 oz packaged. The bathroom was large, clean, well lit and well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer and lots of big fluffy towels. It included a high definition TV, with all of the channels one would expect to find in a Hilton Hotel plus first run films that you could charge to your room. The room, was no frills, but was clean, well maintained and quiet. The hotel occupies one level so it is easy to navigate. The parking structure is attached to the terminal so once you park, you take an elevator directly to the 2nd Level, and walk inside the terminal to a second elevator that takes you to the hotel itself.
The hotel is conveniently located in Terminal 1 for the arrival and departure of international flights. However, this hotel is not only clean, and efficiently run, but the staff are very friendly to both their human and animal guests. For this reason it is difficult to find good accommodations that take both kinds of pets. For a bus ride between the terminals you pay 16 MXN per person, tickets can be bought from the bus driver.Who knew that the Hilton Hotel chain had a hotel that was not only people friendly, but pet friendly as well, in the middle of the Mexico City International Airport. People without an airline ticket can use the red coloured public buses ‘inter-terminal transportation’, which run from Terminal 1 / Puerta 6 to Terminal 2 / Puerta 4 and vice versa between 05:00 hours and 01:00 hours. The Aerotrén is only available for people who are in possession of an airline ticket, and only with hand luggage.
The free Aerotrén runs between the terminals at least every 11 minutes from 05:00 hours to 23:00 hours, travel time is 5 minutes.
